Pearson
Some 80 years ago, the Clyde Pearson company was founded and has been in continuous operation ever since, producing premium upholstered furniture for designers and their clients nationwide. Today Pearson is a collection of Hickory Chair. The Hickory Chair workroom became the home to the Pearson collection in 2014. With the move to the historic Hickory, North Carolina workroom, the talented artisans and craftsmen of Hickory Chair welcomed and embraced the Pearson product line and immediately made enhancements to the offering. Beginning with the launch of a monogram program, designers and retail sales associates were then delighted with the ability to utilize both Hickory Chair and Pearson s fabrics, leathers and trims without incurring up-charges, and in late 2020, the ability to select from the assortment of finishes between the lines further simplified the selection process. The Pearson collection is made up of more than 500 styles, ranging from traditional to contemporary, dressy to casual, and is created by our own design staff. In 2018, two distinctive licensed collections, the Kim Scodro Collection and the Tony Duquette Collection, were introduced to bring fresh new perspectives to Pearson. In June 2021, a distinctive array of occasional wood pieces were introduced. The signature launch includes cocktail tables, end tables, spot tables and chests with a large launch of additional pieces planned for fall 2021. Each piece stands on its own and is perfectly scaled to complement the Pearson collection's vast upholstered offerings. The Pearson Occasional collection is stocked in a standard finish with the ability for quick shipment and is also available in Pearson and Hickory Chair finishes to allow personalization for your room. As Pearson upholstery is made to order, one may select from a nearly endless selection of options to allow you to personalize your piece. Among our selection of stylish fabrics, trims and leathers are exclusive looks from the finest resources in this country and abroad. Suzanne Kasler
For over twenty years, Atlanta designer Suzanne Kasler has created warm, inviting environments that strike a balance between elegant, traditional design and practical comfort. She has collaborated with Hickory Chair to bring that same spirit to her extensive line of furniture, Suzanne Kasler for Hickory Chair. Kasler is known for her love of all things French and brings a fresh mix of Continental flavor and classic style to her interiors. It was recently written, The Atlanta-based designer brings southern charm, European sensibility, and an architectural eye to her interiors " . By mixing both antiques and modern pieces, she creates environments that are timeless, sophisticated, and, most importantly, livable. Kasler s passion for perfection and detail is consistent with Hickory Chair s tradition of personalized home furnishings. The collection features couture details, such as grosgrain ribbon trim, slipcovers with graceful ties, and custom-made hardware for a perfect finishing touch. In June 2021, Kasler introduced the new signature Haut Marais Collection that was inspired by pieces that she has collected over the years. It was inspired by and is a true reflection of her passion for architecture, art, fashion and travel. Named for the historic Haut Marais district of Paris, an area of the city known for its outstanding buildings of historic and architectural importance that bustles with art galleries, antiques, trendy shopping and restaurants. Known for her love of all things French, the new Haut Marais Collection beautifully complements her existing collections. To expand and delight connoisseurs of her collection, she has designed intricately detailed, hand-crafted wood products made in the company s Hickory workroom that were designed with flexibility to allow designers and their clients the ability to personalize pieces for their homes. Crisply-tailored modern upholstered pieces are contrasted by the occasional wood pieces. Her ability to carefully curate a wonderful palette of textures and materials such as stone, mirror, metal, rush and beautiful natural woods is a gift. Throughout the sophisticated collection, architectural elements are highlighted with modern details and clean lines for an easy, fresh aesthetic.
